Location-based Game with Wherigo

Wherigo (pronounced “where I go”) is a toolset for creating and playing location-based experiences in the real world. As you use your [GPS handheld device] to guide you to a physical location, you can take and use virtual items, interact with characters, and solve puzzles. The Wherigo experience combines physical and virtual elements, overlaying engaging story lines onto a real-world background. You can build and play an exciting adventure game or other innovative activities.

The Groundspeak Media Group will create a custom experience at Where 2.0 for the attendees. It will be an enlightening and entertaining outdoor adventure. Optionally, afterwards we’ll delve into the creation of Wherigo experiences, called cartridges, and the use of Lua as a programming language for game creation.
