TurfTag Launch

Zachary Holmquist (TurfTag)

TurfTag is based on the premise that everything in this world has a story to tell. From an individual’s personal life history, the lonely street corner on 5th and Main, and the ATM at the local grocery store. Each interacts and connects with people, and each has something to say about the world around them.

TurfTag is about giving a place for its users to connect and share their lives based off the world around them. It also provides a platform of giving life to the often overlooked pieces and places in this world.

Every object and location will be indexed by TurfTag users, and each will be given a wiki-based profile. Within this profile users can interact and share their thoughts, feelings, knowledge, photos, and more concerning the item they are are viewing. When out and about query TurfTag and receive the information about the location and the items that surround a person. Search for something to do Friday night, organize a protest, learn something new about the Old Maple Tree, and find the nearest Tire Air Pump when you get a flat.

Connect to people on a whole new level with TurfTag. Users are given a toolset to let them connect on a level they want. Use the Events Calendar to transform into the social butterfly that was always meant to be. Create lists of favorite tags and share them with users, thus giving organization to the mass amounts of data. Be out at a club, and query TurfTag to see who you may know there, then get together in real time. At a conference, a user could give updates while those at home can locate the location of the event and see what is being said. Share events, photos, and places to go with your friends, with the open platform TurfTag is—the possibilities are endless.
