She has written for The American Prospect, the New York Times Book Review, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, and Newsday. Her essays appear in various anthologies, including What We Do Now and When I was a Loser (out from Free Press in March 2007). She lives in Brooklyn and is working on a novel set in Miami, her hometown.
