EC2 on Rails

Deploying a Ruby On Rails application has always been a long process, especially if you want to customize the environment in which your software runs.

“EC2-On-Rails” (http://ec2onrails.rubyforge.org/) is a FOSS (Free, Open Source Software) machine image (AMI), created by Paul Dowman, that you can instantly boot on EC2, and then run your code on it within a few minutes. You can also customize EC2-On-Rails to fit your specific needs.

This Birds of a Feather session will cover basic AWS account setup, how to manage EC2 instances, and how to boot EC2-on-Rails and run your applications on it.
