Dave McCrory leads Technical Marketing for Cloud Foundry at VMware. He is focused on educating businesses, developers, and IT operations on how to best leverage scale out architectures and cloud computing approaches. McCrory founded and served CTO/Chief Scientist at four startup companies, ProTier, Surgient, Inovawave, and Hyper9. While at these companies, he was granted 7 Patents around Virtualization Management and Cloud Computing. He most recently worked as a Cloud Architect in Dell’s Data Center Solutions Group, where he worked on several high-profile hyper-scale computing projects. Dave is a published author having co-authored the book “Advanced Server Virtualization”. He is very active on social media personally blogging and tweeting. Dave enjoys coding prototypes in Ruby and Javascript in his spare time. He also operates the social media efforts for Cloud Foundry.
