RailsConf T-Shirt Pick-Up

Thank you to Bruce Williams (Codefluency) who designed another great RailsConf t-shirt. The design is a take on the iconic packaging for Old Bay Seasoning, a Baltimore original (named after the Old Bay Line, a passenger ship line that plied the waters of the Chesapeake Bay from Baltimore in the 1900s).

Check out the cool design and pick one up at registration starting at 12:30pm on Monday.

RailsConf Teams Up with DonorsChoose.org

Be sure to look for the $25 gift card from DonorsChoose.org in your badge holder when you check in at Registration. As part of our way of giving back to the community, we’ve teamed up with this great charity to supply gift cards to every RailsConf attendee.

DonorsChoose.org is an award-winning online charity. Public school teachers across the country post classroom project ideas, and citizen philanthropists choose which ones to fund. Redeem the gift card you receive on a classroom project that inspires you, and brings students a step closer to the learning they deserve. DonorsChoose.org delivers the materials to the school, and sends you photos and thank-you letters from the classroom you help.

Set Up Your Personal Schedule

Create your own RailsConf agenda using the personal scheduler function on the RailsConf website. Mark the sessions, workshops, keynotes, and events you want to attend by clicking the calendar icon next to each listing. Then click on "Personal Schedule" link in the Schedule View page to generate your own customized schedule.

Printed versions of the daily schedule will also be available throughout the conference area.

Online Attendee Directory

Would you like to connect with other conference participants before, during and after the RailsConf? Join the online Attendee Directory, which allows you to have a public profile, communicate with other attendees, and manage your contacts. You will need to make sure you are opted-in to the Attendee Directory in order to begin using it.

Once you start participating you'll be able to:

  • Set up your personal profile and post a photo of yourself
  • Create a list of people you want to meet
  • Direct message other RailsConf attendees
  • Integrate your Twitter account and share your tweets with others

RATE SESSIONS AND LEAVE COMMENTS

Rate the sessions, workshops, and keynotes you attend by going to any session description page on railsconf.com and clicking on the set of stars in the upper right hand corner. You can also leave comments at the bottom of the description page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public. Only registered attendees may rate sessions, so if you aren't already logged in, you'll be asked to do so. Your username/email and password are the same ones you used to register for RailsConf with.

Have a question or comment for a speaker? Post them in the "Add New Comment" field found at the bottom of any session detail page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public.

Speaker Slides, Video, and Live Streaming

All the RailsConf keynotes will be streamed live on railsconf.com and then made available as videos after the conference ends. We'll also be posting speaker slides as they give them to us.
