Engine Yard's Community Powered Cloud
Learn about the magic behind Engine Yard Cloud; it’s been another year, so join us as we explore the remarkable progress we’ve made with the help of the open source community. We’ve worked hard to ensure getting your app in the cloud is affordable, simple and easy – but with the robust feature set needed for running large production applications. Community contributions and developments (like Chef, Redis, Resque, Fog, Bundler, etc.) have been essential. We couldn’t do what we do without open source, and in this talk, we’ll walk through many of these open source projects. We’ll talk about why we chose them and how they’ve become critical to our success. You’ll leave this session with a renewed appreciation for the Rails community, and a handy functional understanding of Engine Yard Cloud.
