Don't Repeat Yourself, Repeat Others
“Don’t repeat yourself.” “Don’t reinvent the wheel.” Phrases like this are thrown around like crazy in the programming world, but one is missing. Repeat others. The best way to learn is to imitate those that are better than us.
Let’s focus on how to get better at what we do. Moments of divine inspiration happen rarely, if ever, and when they do are usually preceded by hours of work. Learn how to get better not by being smart, but by being eager, stubborn, and by learning from others.

@Ben and @Keith: Thanks! Glad you both enjoyed it.
Inspiring talk. Would love to see more how-to talks from John because he is great at explaining concepts without losing people.
very solid presentation, good intel, high energy.
Of course. :)
This is actually my learning method, I think it’ll be a very good presentation, are you going to use real code from real projects as examples?
