Steven Haddox
Sr. Web Developer, Black Oak Technology Group, Inc.

Steven has been a Ruby developer for about three years and a Web Developer for more than 10 years. After spending a few years in freelance and commercial web development Steven returned to the confined, but stable spaces of corporate firewalls, restrictive policies, and uninformed managers. Steven has made it a personal battle to do whatever he can to be a Ruby evangelist within his corporate environment. As an employee of Black Oak Technologies Group Steven has created RVM::FW in order to allow restricted users to still be able to utilize RVM, even if they are blocked off from the real world, and has several other open source ideas in mind to ease the life of the “corporate Rubyist.”

This was a pretty good session at the end of the presentation, but there was way too much time invested into fairly obvious "best practices" and too much time spent on what "not" to do.
