Past Rails projects include the DivineCaroline web site (in collaboration with Pivotal Labs), an interactive semantic discussion forum, a writing contest web site, and an interactive wellness portal.

Looks like ActiveResource in Rails3 does handle some type conversions now, so that's one issue down. We'll focus on the resource hierarchies and authentication.
