Influence from Star Trek and other SciFi

Moderated by: Rob Vander Sloot
Location: Conference Room 9

Many of us were partially, if not largely, influenced by SciFi when we chose to follow a technical or scientific career path. In anticipation of the new Star Trek movie that opens Thursday, May 7, this session is an open discussion of Science Fiction’s influence on your life and career. What movies and TV shows had the largest impact? What was it about them that struck a cord? Did you relate closely with any particular characters? Come and share story.

…And to cap off the week – who is interested in attending the 10pm showing on Thursday at Benden Theaters at the Palms? If there’s enough interest, I’ll pre-purchase a number of tickets to be sure that we get in.
