Guest room rates

We have a group room rate at the Las Vegas Hilton for RailsConf attendees. Book your room early, the RailsConf room blocks always sell out.

$99.00 for single or double occupancy run of house
$35.00 per additional person

Room rates are subject to any local, state, and federal tax that may apply at the time of occupancy. (For informational purposes only, currently the room tax rate is 9%).

By Phone: To receive the special discounted room rate, please identify yourself as "O'Reilly Media, Inc. RailsConf" when calling the hotel's reservation number: 1-800-635-7711 between the hours of 6:00am and 12:00am daily.

The cut-off date for the group rate is April 2, 2009. Reservations received after April 2, 2009 (or after the room block sells out, whichever comes first) will be honored on a space-available basis at the prevailing rate of the hotel. All reservations will require a one (1) night advance deposit per room, plus tax, to guarantee accommodations. All non-guaranteed reservations are subject to cancellation two (2) weeks after the date the reservation is made. All advance reservation deposits are completely refundable if cancelled two (2) weeks prior to arrival.

Room Sharing

If you are looking to save money on your housing costs, you may wish to room-share. The RailsConf wiki contains a Room Sharing page where you can post information about yourself along with the type of room sharing situation with which you are most comfortable. If not comfortable with posting your info, simply peruse the listing of others looking for room sharing situations who you can contact.

Getting There from the Airport

There are lots of different ways to get from the airport to the Las Vegas Hilton:

Cab (cabs are available 24/7 outside of baggage claim)
Bell Transportation (Shuttle & limo services are available from 9:00am – 11:00pm) provides a shuttle at the airport for a fee of $5-7 per person, depending on day and time.
Rent a car (Avis, Thrifty, Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, Dollar, Alamo, etc.)

Parking:

For your convenience, the Las Vegas Hilton offers free uncovered self-parking and covered parking in their North Tower parking lot and garage, as well as free uncovered self-parking in their SUPERBOOK® parking lot. They also offer Valet Parking at their Main Hotel entrance.
