1:45-2:30 Douglas Bell Douglas Bell, a former team member of the phpBB project, will lead a discussion on ways to build community involvement and interaction in your open source project.
2:35-3:20 Marcus Westin from Meebo Marcus will be doing a technical presentation about using JavaScript to do real-time communication between web apps and desktop apps.
3:20-4:30   Afternoon break
4:30-5:15 Todd Davies, Joseph Marrama and (by video) Mike Mintz “Deme – Content Management for the Social Web” This is based on a presentation done recently at the International Workshop on Web-Oriented Software Technology (IWWOST 2009), with fresh demo material and a discussion of the code and FOSS motivations behind their content management system/framework, with comparisons to other web technologies. We’ll make sure there is lots of time for discussion.
5:20-6:05 Peter Zaitsev EXPLAIN Demystified – This presentation shows you how the MySQL query optimizer creates an execution plan, how MySQL converts that to the EXPLAIN output, and how you can figure out the execution plan from the EXPLAIN output.
