Larry Wall and Damian Conway will present the latest features of Perl 6, and discuss the on-going implementation of the new Perl.
Larry Wall is the proud father of Perl.
Damian Conway is an internationally renowned speaker, author, and trainer, and a prominent contributor to the Perl community. Currently he runs Thoughtstream, an international IT training company that provides programmer training from beginner to masterclass level throughout Europe, North America, and Australasia. Most of his spare time is spent working with Larry Wall on the design and explication of the Perl 6 programming language. He has a PhD in Computer Science and is an honorary Associate Professor in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University, Australia.

I’m sorry you were disappointed, Bowen. But “present the latest features of Perl 6” is what we promised in the description above, and so that’s what we did. In fact, it’s what we’ve done every year for most of the past decade. If it’s any consolation, the higher-level, more interesting talk you were hoping for is scheduled for this afternoon.
I came to hear Larry talk about perl, not hear the latest changelog from the dev tree. A higher-level talk would have been more interesting.
