QA and Development historically enjoy an antagonistic relationship. However, it’s necessary to come together to solve difficult problems. Using our experience fighting memory leaks in Firefox 3 as a case study, we will show strategies for other QA teams to find common ground with developers to solve truly complex problems.

Clint started with Mozilla as a volunteer by organizing a QA team for the Calendar project. From there, he became a calendar module owner, and then was hired by Mozilla to work on test development. He is currently the Test Development Lead for the Mozilla QA team.

Carsten Book

Mozilla Corporation

Carsten started with Mozilla as a QA Community Member with Nightly Build Testing and manual Test Execution. Then he was hired by Mozilla as Team Member of the QA Team to work on Test Execution Tasks. He is located in Germany.
