Participate 08, sponsored by Microsoft, occurs on July 21, 2008. The summit is to explore the issues and opportunities presented by community development, in particular the themes of hybrid models, inclusion, interoperability, intellectual property, and community motivation.

The afternoon session occurs from 1:30-4:30pm and is open to all OSCON attendees. It will consist of a panel discussion moderated by Karim Lakhani of Harvard Business School and include Allison Randall of O’Reilly Radar, Jon Wilbanks of Science Commons, Siobhan O’Mahony of UC Davis, and Bryan Kirschner of Microsoft. Audience participation in the discussion is encouraged.
