What is HBase ? What is Hadoop ? How do they compare to the deluge of Not Just SQL tools that have been propagating down from the huge web projects with mega tons of scalable data processing needs.
In this session we will explain the role of hadoop, and hdfs, the framework upon which HBASE is built, and then we will discuss data management in HBase and how it differs from the relational model.
Tom Hanlon is has been a senior instructor at MySQL and has been teaching MySQL and assorted FOSS topics such as Apache, PHP , and Linux for since 2001. In addition I have been building and maintaining MySQL based applications since the MySQL 3.2 era.
I have recently added Hadoop and affiliated technologies to my toolkit.
