Mike is the technical lead of the MySQL team in the Operations department at Twitter. The team is responsible for both day-to-day operations and long term architecture and planning. Previously, Mike has worked on MySQL Operations at Friendster and FriendFinder, run a small LAMP e-commerce development firm, printed t-shirts, and run a non-profit performance venue. Mike lives in San Francisco with his two cats — both of whom are named Craig, if only to illustrate a common failure when using natural primary keys.
