Percona Server has a reputation for being faster, and for its enhanced slow query log. But there are dozens of other features. What are they for? Why are they there? My talk will explain these less known features in Percona Server. All of them were added for a good reason, usually to solve problems that couldn’t be solved any other way. We will cover features such as user and index statistics, very large InnoDB log file sizes, fast InnoDB checksums, InnoDB dictionary information schema tables, extra control over the buffer pool, and more.
