MySQLConf Birds of a Feather Networking Sessions

Call closed 11:59pm 04/08/2011 PDT.

What is a BoF?

Birds of a Feather (BoF) sessions provide face to face exposure to those interested in the same projects and concepts. BoFs can be organized for individual projects or broader topics (best practices, open data, standards). BoFs are entirely up to you. We post your topic online and onsite and provide the space and time. You provide the engaging topic. For examples of topic ideas, check out the BoF sessions from MySQL Conference & Expo 2010.

How do I lead a BoF?

Sign up online in advance or check the BoF schedule board onsite at the conference and sign up in any open slot. If you sign up online in advance, you will receive an email confirming the time of your BoF as soon as it is approved.

Please note that audio/visual equipment, including projection equipment, will not be available for BoF sessions. If you require any audio/visual equipment, you may request services from Good Company Communications by completing the Audio Visual Order form (PDF) and sending the form to Good Company Communications.

How do I participate in a BoF?

If you would like to join the discussion in one of the BoFs, there is no need to formally sign up. You can check the list of pre-scheduled BoFs online (when the event gets closer), or check the BoF schedule board onsite at the Santa Clara Convention Center for topics and locations.

Moderating a Birds of a Feather talk is open to attendees and speakers at the event. You must be registered to conduct a BoF talk. The moderator is not a speaker in the main program.
