Mike Frank
Director of Products, Gazzang, Inc.

Mike Frank guides the product roadmap for Gazzang. Both product management and product marketing are under his leadership. He is responsible for ensuring that our solutions provide the optimum amount of value for our customers and he directs competitive positioning, product pricing and packaging.

Mike has over 20 years of experience in the software industry in both development and product line management and is a recognized expert in the open source industry. He was most recently a senior product manager at Oracle focused on MySQL in the areas of development, backup, platforms, virtualization and authentication. Prior to Oracle, he was responsible for product direction and delivery at Idera, a provider of management tools for Microsoft’s SQL Server database platform. Mike has also held positions in product and development management at PentaSafe Security Technologies, Inc. and NetIQ Corporation, with additional development and consulting experience in the fields of IT security, database management and e-business.

Mike holds a BS in Computer Engineering and a MS in Computer Science from Baylor University. He has completed Ph.D. course work and qualifying exams at the University of Houston with areas of research including database management and distributed operating systems.
