InnoDB provides transactions, row-level locking, multi-version concurrency control for superior performance, and referential integrity and all four ANSI SQL transaction isolation levels to ensure the integrity of your database.
At this session, we will discuss the current state of InnoDB and the new performance and scalability features in the InnoDB Plugin. We will also describe the InnoDB architecture in depth.
Rob Young is the Technical Product Manager for the MySQL Server and Enterprise product lines. He has over 20 years of database and application development experience with MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, and DB2. His primary responsibility is to work with MySQL Engineering on product direction, technical requirements, and to evangelize and drive MySQL product line adoption by the MySQL Community, Commercial users and Enterprise subscribers.
Calvin Sun is a principal software engineer at the InnoDB group of Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, he was the development manager of storage engines at MySQL. He has over ten years of database internals experience at Pervasive Software, MySQL and now Oracle. He has an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
