The MySQL and InnoDB Engineering teams will present a low-level, detailed look into the code that powers the new performance and scalability gains to be had in MySQL 5.5, the next GA release of the MySQL database server. You will see the design and code that power a new, configurable InnoDB Buffer Pool, Master Thread/Purge Thread split, Page Hash and Flush List mutex splits, improved recovery times, faster random deletes, and better metadata locking within transactions. You will also be given access to download the MySQL 5.5 source and binaries so you can start working with the code yourself.
