Pushdown of joins for MySQL cluster is a feature aim to dramatically broaden the type applications that can use ndb.

Attend this session to learn about:

  • why joins with ndb sometimes are slow
  • how pushing down of joins work in ndb
  • how the mysqld integration is done and how we hope other storage engines will benefit from our work
  • how this work relates to Batched Key Access (BKA)
  • the type of use-cases that we target initially, and what we plan to do next
  • fantastic numbers for unrealistic benchmarks and great numbers for realistic benchmarks
  • and finally how we hope to find the holy grail which combines OLTP and reporting in the same distributed HA database
