This session is an overview of XtraBackup, a free, open-source hot backup solution for InnoDB and XtraDB databases. You’ll learn how it works internally, and what its typical use cases are. You’ll see how to design and execute backup jobs for your own data. This session will also cover incremental/differential backups and non-backup-related features of XtraBackup, such as its ability to analyze your InnoDB data and produce statistical reports on things like index sizes and cardinality.
