Uday Shanmugam is the Director of Engineering at Relationals, responsible for the software development and operations involved in making the CRM and On Demand applications of Relationals and LongJump available as a Software as a Service.

Before Relationals, he has held senior engineering and software architecture positions at Avaya and Alcatel to design develop and implement security technologies and web-based centralized data policy management solutions.

Prior to that, he was involved in building and deploying large-scale banking applications, banking CRM and transaction processing middleware for iFlex Solutions, which is now a part of Oracle. Uday holds patents in the areas of policy based network architecture, database synchronization and high availability processing. He has a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from Pondicherry University, India and an MBA from the Bharathidasan Institute of Management, India
