To reach those treasures, we’ll try to answer some cabalistics yet not to senseless questions ; When are JOIN faster than a LIMIT? Why anyone would make auto_increment columns to be non-unique? How to spot the missing rows in a table? Who can sort b, c, a and still use the ORDER BY clause? How to break those long running queries into small ones? What operations can treat lines in batch, with pure SQL?
During this session, we’ll see some lesser known features of MySQL, that were introduced in the server for good reasons, and that will solve even other problems. We’ll stay close with tables, columns and data, for the best of everyone.
