Monitoring Scale-out with the MySQL Enterprise Monitor

You’re using MySQL replication to cost-effectively scale the performance of your system. But how can you be sure it’s configured correctly? How do you know someone hasn’t accidently changed the configuration? And how can you be sure everything is performing well and all your systems are up-to-date?

This session will demonstrate how the MySQL Enterprise monitor can:

• Automatically detect your replication environments and display their configurations to you;
• Display configuration changes as they take place;
• Help you monitor the health and performance of those systems;
• Make recommendations to keep your systems healthy and properly configured.

This session will also show you how to use open source tools (ReplMxj and mysqlslap) to rapidly deploy and configure various replication environments (multi-level tree, ring-and-spoke), and how to apply load to those environments for testing purposes.
