The MySQL Conference & Expo 2008 will be held at The Santa Clara Convention Center, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Tutorials and sessions will be held in the Grand Ballroom and the Exhibit Hall will be held in Exhibit Hall A at the center.

Just off of US Highway 101, The Santa Clara Convention Center is convenient to the Silicon Valley and the greater Bay Area. The San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland International Airports are located within minimal driving distance.

Guest Room Rate: $170.00

In order to receive the group room rate, you must identify yourself as attending MySQL 2008. Reservations received after the cutoff date of March 18, 2008 or after the room block is sold out (whichever comes first) will be honored on a space-available basis at the prevailing rate of the hotel. All rates are single or double occupancy. All room rates listed above do not include 9.5% local & state tax and District Improvement Fee of $1.00 (subject to change without notice).

Please provide 72 hours notice when canceling your reservations to avoid deposit forfeiture or penalties.

Public Transportationts

Amtrak
There is an Amtrak station in Santa Clara at Tasman Ave. and Lafayette Street, underneath the Tasman Avenue overpass. The Great America Santa Clara stop is on the Capitol Corridor route with service to and from Sacramento. There are three trains daily. 1 (800) USA-RAIL.

BART
Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) is a high-speed train serving the greater San Francisco Bay Area and the Oakland International Airport. You can take the Santa Clara County Transit to and from the Fremont BART station. (510) 441-2278.

There are public transportation options available to and from all Bay Area airports at minimal cost. The Great America VTA Light Rail (www.vta.org) stop is directly in front of the hotel and convention center, and provides an easy connection to the San Jose International Airport, Downtown San Jose, Mountain View, and Caltrain. Using Caltrain you can easily connect to San Francisco International Airport, Downtown San Francisco, and BART.

  Start out going Northwest on Airport Blvd. towards Terminal C. Turn right onto Airport Pkwy. Turn left onto Guadalupe Pkwy. Take the US-101 N ramp towards San Francisco. Merge onto US-101 N. Take the Great America Pkwy. exit towards Bowers Avenue. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Merge onto Great America Pkwy. (Approx. 5 miles)

• San Francisco Int'l Airport - SFO
  Hotel Direction: 15 mi SE
  Take US Highway 101 South towards San Jose. Take the CA-237 East exit towards Alviso/Milpitas. Take the Great America Parkway exit towards Lafayette Street. Turn right onto Great America Parkway. (Approx. 31 miles)

• Oakland Int'l Airport - OAK
  Hotel Direction: 15 mi W
  
• * Start out going Northeast on Airport Drive towards Neil Armstrong Way by turning left. Turn right onto 98th Ave. Merge onto I-880 South towards San Jose. Take the Milpitas/Alviso Rd. exit towards CA-237/Calaveras Blvd. Merge onto CA-237 W. Take the Great America Pkwy ramp towards Lafayette Street. Turn left onto Great America Pkwy. (Approx. 33 miles)
