Zach Allia
Zach Allia (Free Gifts)

Zach Allia is the founder/developer of the Free Gifts application on Facebook. Free Gifts started as a simple play on the Facebook application “Gifts.” However, Zach turned Free Gifts into a really fun and engaging application, creating a very loyal following. Zach, originally from Boston, now lives in Palo Alto, CA and is a co-founder of the Social Gaming Network.

Jessica Alter
Jessica Alter (Bebo)

Jessica is Director of Platform and Business Development at Bebo. She leads the platform strategy and community at Bebo as well as multiple business development efforts. Prior to Bebo Jessica worked in business development at Hands-On Mobile. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from University of Michigan and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Sean Ammirati
Sean Ammirati (mSpoke / ReadWriteWeb)

Currently, Sean is the VP of Business Development & Product Management at mSpoke, Inc. Sean also regularly contributes to the influential Read/WriteWeb blog and hosts the weekly podcast Read/WriteTalk. Once an aspiring programmer, Sean has found his niche as a new technology evangelist. Currently, this manifests itself in his passion for helping publishers revitalize their online content with mSpoke’s adaptive personalization solutions. Prior to co-founding mSpoke, Sean was a research fellow at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Industry Center and served on the Editorial Advisory Board and as a columnist for Information Week. He holds a B. S. in Computer Information Systems from Grove City College.

Robert Balahura
Robert Balahura (J2Play)

Rob founded J2Play in 2000 by creating and commercializing the world’s first mobile multiplayer game for J2ME handsets, and following that with the worlds first cross-media web to mobile multiplayer game & SDK. Since then, J2Play has created a solution and SDK’s for creating social cross-media games with web, mobile and pc platforms. Today, J2Play provides an open game solution that enables rapid development & self-publishing of social and multiplayer games on all key platforms with the social site identity as the root of all communication and game play. The J2Play solution helps to enable web, mobile, and PC game developers to independently build their business on top of all social sites and spark growth in the social games market.

Kevin Barenblat
Kevin Barenblat (Context Optional)

Kevin Barenblat is co-founder and CEO of [context], which provides social marketing technology and services to the world’s leading brands and advertising agencies. [context] offers a full suite of integrated social marketing solutions including social media ad buys, ad optimization, licensed branded applications, brand page management and promotion, and custom viral application development. Chris Bissell (MySpace)

Chris is Chief Software Architect at MySpace. His job is to come up with convoluted method signatures so other developers can have the satisfaction of renaming them.

Alex Blum
Alex Blum (KickApps)

As the CEO of KickApps, Alex is responsible for building a world class technology, marketing, business development, finance, and operations team with the goal of providing web publishers the tools to easily enable their sites with User Generated Content, Social Networking, Premium Video, and Content Syndication capabilities.

Before joining KickApps, Alex was President and COO of JumpTV, a leading Multi-Cultural Internet Protocol Television Network. Prior to JumpTV Alex spent 8 years at AOL most recently as the Vice President of Product Marketing for AOL’s Audience business where Alex and his team were responsible for re-launching the AOL Portal and delivering an entire suite of web-based applications including: AOL’s Video Player, Video Portal, Streaming Video advertising platform, AIM and AIMpages social networking service. Prior to that, Alex was General Manager of AOLTV, where he established strategic relationships with DirecTV, TiVo, OpenTV and Philips Electronics. Prior to joining AOL, Alex spent ten years in the software industry participating in three successful startup opportunities.

Alex has an MBA from the Albers School of Business at Seattle University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.

Daniel Burton
Daniel Burton (Salesforce)

Daniel Burton is Senior Vice President, Global Public Policy for Salesforce.com and has played a leadership role in the development of US technology policy for over twenty years.

Prior to joining Salesforce.com in January 2006 he was Vice President of Government Affairs for Entrust (2000-2005) and Vice President for Government Relations for Novell (1995-2000). Previously he was President of the Council on Competitiveness where he was a pioneer in the effort to establish government technology policies for the US high-tech industry. Before joining the Council Mr. Burton was the Executive Director of the Economic Policy Council of the United Nations Association-USA. He has also served as a Fellow in the US-Japan Leadership program and done economic development work in West Africa.

Mr. Burton has testified several times before Congress and has lectured widely in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He holds an MA in political economy from Columbia University, a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Diplome de Langue et Civilisation Francasies from the Sorbonne. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Mr. Burton has edited three books, including Vision for the 1990s: US Strategy and the Global Economy, and written numerous articles on technology policy and competitiveness, which have appeared in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The New York Times, The Washington Quarterly, Scientific American and Issues in Science and Technology.

Chris Butler (Dash Navigation)

Chris Butler recently joined the Dash Navigation team as the company’s content platform evangelist. His responsibilities include the oversight of Dash’s open platform initiative and encouraging the creation of new location-based services both inside and outside of Dash. Previously, he worked for Microsoft at the company’s Silicon Valley Campus for over seven and a half years. During his tenure he worked on projects including Calendar, Hotmail, Toolbar, Desktop Search, the Sidebar gadget platform and finally Windows Live Gallery, the one-stop-shop that lets consumers personalize their Windows and Windows Live experiences.

Patrick Chanezon
Patrick Chanezon (Google)

Patrick Chanezon is API Evangelist at Google since 2005. These days his main interests are the OpenSocial API and social software, Google APIs, REST, SOAP and Ajax, Java, Groovy, Javascript, PHP, Ruby and Python. Previously he’s bee working on portals, blogs and syndication feeds at Sun Microsystems, AOL and Netscape. He’s the co-founder of the ROME – Atom and RSS utilities in java open source project.

Siqi Chen
Siqi Chen (Serious Business)

Siqi Chen is a founder of a YCombinator-funded startup in the Facebook space and a top ranked developer on the Facebook platform. He was previously a product manager at video sharing site Veoh and a software engineer at the semantic search startup Powerset.

Kevin Chou
Kevin Chou (Watercooler Inc.)

Kevin Chou is the CEO of Watercooler, the world’s largest fan community online. Kevin has led the company from founding to over twenty million registered fans across the Watercooler social media platform.

Watercooler enables television and sports fans to connect with other fans inside their favorite social networks.

Prior to Watercooler, Kevin spent several years at the global venture capital firm Canaan Partners investing in digital media, consumer internet services, and online advertising companies. Kevin took part in funding 10 companies during his tenure at Canaan Partners, deploying part of the firm’s $2.3 billion of capital.

Earlier in Kevin’s career, he advised public technology companies on M&A and corporate finance as part of Deutsche Bank’s investment banking arm in San Francisco.

Kevin holds a BS from UC Berkeley in Business Administration, graduating magma cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Ro Choy
Ro Choy (RockYou)

Rogelio (Ro) Choy is vice president of Business Development for RockYou. He is responsible for recruiting and managing partner relations. Before joining the RockYou executive team, Ro managed eBay’s online parts business as a Director at eBay Motors and also was responsible for managing Market Development at eBay, including operation of eBay’s U.S. wireless efforts. Prior to eBay, Ro co-founded Cima Systems, a leading VOIP software provider for auto dealers. Ro earned his MBA from Stanford University School of Business.

Chris Cunningham
Chris Cunningham (appssavvy)

As the CEO of appssavvy, Chris Cunningham leads the company and is responsible for establishing its position within the social media landscape. He continually meets with top level advertisers and partners to determine where the industry is going next. His longstanding position as a leader in the interactive advertising space allows for appssavvy to make connections with top advertisers and gives credibility to the partner network.

Believing that widget advertising is the pinnacle of viral marketing, Chris has taken a strong advocacy position. He has spoken on widget marketing at iMedia, OMMA, Millenials and Pipper Jaffray and was a driving force behind the highly successful first annual Widget Con and is a founding member and committee head of the Widget Interactive Marketing Association. His efforts in this area have garnered uniformly positive press coverage in the Washington Post, Business Week, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

As a sales and new media entrepreneur additional career highlights include: SVP of Global Sales at Freewebs, VP of Sales at Bolt Media, and director of sales for leading organizations including Digital Music Network and Music Vision where he pioneered the sales strategy for marketing online digital music platforms, and built solid relationships with leading advertisers including Gatorade, Sears, Nintendo, Radio Shack, Reebok, and Volkswagen.

Chris graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro with a degree in Economics & Marketing and is now based in New York City.

Gregory Cypes
Gregory Cypes (Open AIM (AOL))

Greg Cypes is the Tech Lead and Evangelist for Open AIM. He has developed and designed the core instant messaging software for AIM, ICQ and AOL including SMS, location services, audio, video and peer-2-peer technology in AIM. In his nine plus years working on AIM, he has enjoyed his role in transforming AOL’s client software from a self-contained entity to one of the most robust and powerful open messaging and peer-2-peer networks in the world. In his free time, Greg has developed and contributed dozens of extensions to the Open AIM community and other social networks.

Craig Dalton (Hook Mobile)

Craig has 15 years experience in sales and marketing management as well as extensive experience building profitable mobile business strategies. As Hook Mobile’s Vice President of Business Development, he is responsible for establishing strategic relationships with social media and Web 2.0 companies wishing to develop new revenue streams utilizing the company’s MMS delivery platform and carrier billing relationships. Prior to Hook Mobile, Craig managed business development for global mobile entertainment publisher, I-play. His responsibilities included negotiating operator agreements, developing a Direct to Consumer strategy and creating a mobile video business unit. Earlier, Craig managed business development for interactive television and mobile pioneer, Proteus, having completed the first TV to SMS campaign in the US with Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 that established the TV to SMS market in the U.S. Craig holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Irvine and a BSBA in Business Administration from The American University.

Josh Elman
Josh Elman (Facebook)

Josh Elman is a Platform Program Manager at Facebook, where he focuses on new initiatives and programs for developers on Facebook Platform. Previously, Josh was Head of Product Management at Zazzle, where he led the development of Zazzle’s marketplace and commerce platform. Prior to Zazzle, Josh worked at LinkedIn, where he helped grow the business network from 200,000 to 3 million users. Josh began his career at RealNetworks, where he led the development team through three versions of RealPlayer. Josh holds a bachelor’s degree in symbolic systems from Stanford University.

Robert Fan
Robert Fan (Stanford University / 750 Industries)

Robert Fan is a co-founder of 750 Industries, a company that builds social applications for Facebook and other social platforms.

Rob began working on Facebook apps soon after platform launch and has been hacking away ever since. Rob was also one of the teaching assistants for the fall 2007 Stanford “Facebook” Class (CS377W), where he helped students develop and instrument viral applications & metrics.

Rob recently earned a Masters degree from Stanford University in Management Science and Engineering, with a focus in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Technologies.

Prior to coming west, Rob worked at Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington DC as a technical consultant. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.

David Gentzel
David Gentzel (SocialMedia)

David Gentzel is Co-Founder of VP Consumer Products at SocialMedia. He is also a top Facebook app developer and the creator of several apps with more than one million users, including Happy Hour and Food Fight. According to David, “I make viral apps.”

Nick Gonzalez
Nick Gonzalez (SocialMedia)

Nick Gonzalez runs Developer Relations for the social ad network SocialMedia Networks. SocialMedia helps advertisers reach social networking users, and helps developers monetize their applications on social networks.

Prior to SocialMedia, Nick was the second employee and analyst/writer for TechCrunch.com, the largest blog reporting on the rapidly evolving internet industry. He also writes from time to time on his personal blog RunningWithFoxes.com, consults for startups, and is a regular speaker on social media at events and companies.

Frank Gruber
Frank Gruber (Somewhat Frank / TECH cocktail / AOL)

Frank is well-known for his blog SOMEWHATFRANK.com, and for his analysis on Web 2.0, social media and emerging technologies and has been featured in a number of publications including TechCrunch, iMediaConnection, as well as on his blog and related video podcasts on SOMEWHAT FRANK TV.

In May 2006 he co-founded TECH cocktail with Eric Olson, a community building startup which offers events and community-powered projects open to bloggers, technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs & professionals interested in technology in under served technology communities. Hosting events in Chicago, D.C., Boulder and Boston, Frank recently co-hosted the first TECH cocktail CONFERENCE in Chicago and you can expect to see more from TECH cocktail soon as it continues to live up to its name by fostering community building via a “cocktail of TECH people.”

Frank Gruber is a principal product manager for AOL in the People Networks group. His past AOL successes include the myAOL personalized startpage which has been rolled out globally since launching in July 2007. Frank has developed online product strategy for Apartments.com and Tribune Interactive, a subsidiary of the Tribune Company. Frank has also offered strategic Web and social media consulting services.

Growing up in the Chicago area, Mr. Gruber received an MS in Computer Information Systems from Northwestern University, and a BS in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University.

Vikas Gupta
Vikas Gupta (Jambool)

Vikas Gupta is the co-founder and CEO of Jambool, a leading social application developer. Jambool helps advertisers and brands reach and build audience on social networks. Currently over 10 million users on multiple social platforms use Jambool apps, putting it among the top ten application companies in this space.

Prior to Jambool Vikas was at Amazon.com where he built the Payments platform, co-founded the Amazon India office, and led teams at Amazon Web Services. Vikas is also the lead inventor of Amazon’s Flexible Payment web service.

Allen Hurff
Allen Hurff (MySpace)

Allen Hurff is the Senior Vice President of Engineering. He has been working at the world’s most popular social networking and lifestyle portal since it was a privately owned start-up. In his position, Allen oversees the engineering and the overall development direction of MySpace as it matures into a company with global reach.

Allen joined MySpace in March 2005 with only 12 developers still located in Santa Monica, California. Allen has grown the engineering and quality assurance organization to over 250 employees now located in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Atlanta, London, and Australia.

Before MySpace, Allen worked at TRW, Unisys, AltaVista, Shopping.com, Experian, and private consulting. Hurff continues to be a key influential player in the ongoing success and growth of MySpace.

Murtaza Hussain
Murtaza Hussain (Peanut Labs, Inc)

Murtaza Hussain is the co-founder and CEO of Peanut Labs, a leading provider of advanced market research services. Peanut Labs provides unparalleled access to the Gen-Y audience – with a sampling methodology integrated into 70+ online communities including MySpace, Facebook, and Google Open Social.

Murtaza has been heavily involved in social media, and is an expert in building online communities. He possesses a deep knowledge of Web 2.0 and ways to utilize social networks and the social graph to execute innovative business ideas and applications.

Murtaza is regularly approached to share his expertise at leading industry events, such as the Facebook Developer’s Conference, Widget Summit 2007, SNAP Summit, and Community Next. He was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at Williams College, USA before he dropped out to start the company.

Rob Jewell
Rob Jewell (Gratis Internet)

A founder of Gratis Internet, Rob Jewell is credited with being one of the early pioneers of the incentive marketing industry. Recognized as one of the Top 30 under 30 CEOs in America, Mr. Jewell’s leadership has driven Gratis Internet to a #95 ranking in 2004 and #18 ranking in 2005 on the INC 500 list of the fastest growing companies in the US. Mr. Jewell was a finalist for the 2005 Greater Washington Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Mr. Jewell holds a BA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

Benjamin Joffe
Benjamin Joffe (Plus Eight Star / Mobile Monday Beijing)

Benjamin is the Managing Director of +8* | Plus Eight Star (www.plus8star.com), a Beijing-based consultancy focused on ‘Innovation Arbitrage’, bringing proven best practices and strategic advisory from and about the advanced Asian markets of Japan, Korea and China to clients worldwide.

Aside from its custom research projects, +8* is recognized as a leading expert on online communities and mobile innovation, and published the world’s first in-depth analysis in English on Cyworld (“Inside Cyworld”) and QQ (“Inside QQ”), respectively South Korea’s and China’s leading online communities, both recording more revenues and profit than Facebook.

David Jones
David Jones (Friendster)

David L. Jones joins Friendster with more than 18 years experience in marketing, business development, product and business strategy.

Prior to joining Friendster, David held several marketing and general management roles at eBay Inc, including roles focused on scaling the number of active members of the eBay community. David was also the director of eBay’s media and entertainment businesses in the United States. Prior to eBay, David was the Vice President of Business Development at Blue Wireless and an associate partner at the management and technology consulting firm of Arthur D. Little.

David holds a BA from Stanford University in Quantitative Economics With Honors & Distinction, 1990.

Michael Jones
Michael Jones (Userplane / AOL)

Michael Jones is CEO of Userplane and Vice President of AOL, and oversees Userplane business strategy, sales and operations.

As founder and CEO of Userplane, Jones brought the company from startup to acquisition by AOL in August 2006. As Vice President of AOL, he now focuses on the growth of AOL syndicated application strategy under the Userplane brand.

Userplane supports more than 50 million users in 15 countries across 150,000 different web publishers. Userplane has been recognized as a pioneer in open widget distribution and Flash web application development, and has provided web infrastructure to companies such as MySpace, date.com, and Honda.

A serial entrepreneur, Jones founded Elixir Magazine in 1994, a nationally distributed pop-culture music and entertainment magazine. Subsequently Jones founded his first digital production studio PBJ Digital in 1996, during his junior year in college. Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Business and Marketing from the University of Oregon.

Ben Keighran
Ben Keighran (Bluepulse)

Ben Keighran took his passion for mobile and founded bluepulse, one of today’s fastest growing mobile social messaging networks. BusinessWeek recognized Ben’s entrepreneurial spirit in October 2007 by naming him a finalist in their annual “America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs” Awards. Ben was also a finalist for Australia’s SmartCompany Idol 2007 and was said to be the embodiment of a key entrepreneurial attribute – the young go getter. Ben’s expertise in wireless has been recognized by industry leaders, many of whom have invited Ben to speak and share his insight at conferences, including Mobile Internet World, Mobile Web 2.0, Mobile Web USA.

Albert Lai
Albert Lai (Kontagent)

Albert Lai is founder & CEO at Kontagent, a Social Network Analytics venture.

Albert sold his first internet company, the MyDesktop Network, while in his teens to JupiterMedia (JUPM). More recently he was the founder/CEO of BubbleShare, a photo-sharing company sold to Kaboose (KAB) in 2007.

Over the past decade Albert’s entrepreneurial efforts have been recognized by multiple major national newspapers, and he is now hard at work on Kontagent, his 5th internet startup.

Michael Lazerow
Michael Lazerow (Buddy Media)

Michael is founder/CEO at Buddy Media, a New York City-based startup that develops applications on leading social networks, currently with over 8 million users on Facebook. Buddy Media helps large media companies and brand marketers leverage the social networks, and current clients include People Magazine, Real Simple, InStyle, Priceline, Anheuser Busch and other leading brands.

Michael is a serial entrepreneur who has co-founded four successful internet-based media companies and has a passion for creating, managing and growing companies. Before Buddy Media Michael founded GolfServ, the parent company of GOLF.com, purchased by Time Warner’s Time Inc. division in January 2006 for $24 million.

Before GolfServ, Michael founded University Wire (U-Wire), an network of more than 700 student-run newspapers purchased by CBS in 2005. Michael sold U-Wire to Student Advantage, the nation’s leading student membership organization in May 1997. Michael helped grow Student Advantage to more than 300 employees and $80 million in annual revenue.

Michael graduated from Northwestern University with a BS and MS in Journalism in 1996. Michael lives in New York City with his wife, Kass, two sons, Myles and Cole, and daughter Vivian. In addition to investing in private companies and real estate, he enjoys writing for Lazerow.com, live music, golf, tennis, poker, fly-fishing, reading, writing and video editing.

Paul Lindner
Paul Lindner (hi5)

Paul Lindner is the Paul Lindner is the Architect of the hi5 Platform, a pioneering OpenSocial Container. Since its inception, Paul has been an active contributor and advocate in advancing the OpenSocial specification and objectives.

He has spent the last 20+ years leading efforts to make the Internet a better place. Some of Paul’s past successes include: developing and promoting the Internet Gopher in the early ‘90s; co-authoring the mod_perl Developer’s Cookbook ; scaling Six Apart’s Typepad to support millions of users worldwide; and building large, mission-critical Web systems for the International Telecommunications Union, Red Hat, Critical Path and The UN Office for the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

He holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Minnesota.

Benjamin Ling
Benjamin Ling (Facebook)

Benjamin is the Director of Platform Product Marketing at Facebook, where he oversees product marketing, developer operations and partner solutions for Facebook Platform. Prior to Facebook, Benjamin was the General Manager of eCommerce at Google, where he founded and led Google Checkout and oversaw Google Product Search. At Google, he managed a cross functional team that included product, engineering, sales, marketing, operations, finance and legal. Benjamin holds a Ph.D. and master’s degree in computer science from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from the university of California at Berkeley.

Roger Magoulas is Director of Research for O’Reilly Media.

John Maver
John Maver (Thought Labs)

John Maver is a highly experienced developer who helps companies get connected to their customers on social networking sites. He has been involved with the Facebook and Bebo platforms from the time they were released and has written several successful applications for both. John is also the current Featured Developer on Bebo.

Prior to specializing in social network development, John spent 10 years leading software development teams and building award-winning software debugging products at NuMega Technologies. John holds a B.S. in Management and a B.A. in Psychology from Purdue University and has completed graduate work in Computer Science at Boston University.

Caroline McCarthy

Dave McClure

He is an advisor or investor for Mint, Mashery, Simply Hired, TeachStreet, Oortle, CrazyEgg, SlideShare, Eventvue, RichRelevance, HealthUnity, & Canopy Financial.

Dave is the conference chair for Graphing Social Patterns, and a co-chair for Web 2.0 Expo. He has been a guest lecturer at Stanford University for the nation’s first-ever course on building Facebook Apps. Dave is a board member for microfinance accelerator Unitus, advisor to microfinance lender Kiva.org, and a co-founder of the Silicon Valley Microfinance Network.

From 2005 to 2006, Dave launched and ran marketing for job search engine Simply Hired, and its evil twin Simply Fired. From 2001 to 2004, Dave worked at PayPal as Director of Marketing, where he founded and ran the PayPal Developer Network program. Prior to PayPal Dave was a database consultant and programmer for several companies including Microsoft and Intel. In 1994 he founded Aslan Computing, an internet and e-commerce firm later acquired by Servinet/Panurgy in 1998.

Before coming to Silicon Valley, Dave barely graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Mathematical Sciences Engineering and a minor in frisbee, billiards, and foosball. His interests include microfinance and economic innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital, ultimate frisbee, cartoons and animation, and an ever-growing collection of silly hats.

John McCrea
John McCrea (Plaxo)

John McCrea is the vice president of marketing for Plaxo. John is a seasoned marketing executive and a web pioneer, who has had a significant impact on the evolution of the web. While at Silicon Graphics (SGI), he struck the very first website sponsorship deal, and coined the term “Powered by…” as the de facto standard for such promotions. He was the driving force behind SGI’s WebFORCE, the first turnkey web server, launched in January ‘95, with the tagline “To Author and To Serve.”

Prior to joining Plaxo, John held the position of senior vice president of marketing at Radiance Technologies, developer of a breakthrough “digital FedEx” software solution. Before Radiance, John co-founded Affinia, a pioneer in contextual web advertising, which developed a predecessor to Google’s AdSense. John earned an MBA from Stanford University and an SB in Humanities from MIT.

Jodi McDermott
Jodi McDermott (Clearspring)

Jodi McDermott has been working in web analytics since 2002 and joined Clearspring in September 2007 as the Director of Product Management for Analytics.

Clearspring is the leading provider of cross-platform widget services. They enable digital content and service providers to easily package, distribute and analyze the performance of widgets via a single platform.

Jodi’s role is to shape and develop Clearspring’s analytics offerings. Prior to joining Clearspring, Jodi oversaw the web analytics team of InPhonic and also worked in the Consulting Services group of Visual Sciences. For five years prior to that, Jodi managed the Business Solutions team and oversaw the implementation of the first off-the-shelf web analytics package at USATODAY.com. She is an active member of the Web Analytics Association and a member of their Standards and Social Media committees and is a frequent speaker at the E-Metrics Summit.

Jodi graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.S. in Business Administration and holds an MBA from American University with an emphasis in Finance and Management of Global Information Technology.

Paul McDonald

Chris Messina

Chris Messina arrived in San Francisco four years ago to begin volunteering for the Mozilla Foundation, as a leader of the Spread Firefox community marketing project. Oren Michels
Oren Michels (Mashery)

Oren Michels brings more than 15 years of experience to his job as CEO of Mashery. Michels has a proven track record with experience across multiple industries. Previously, Michels was vice president of business development at Feedster, where he negotiated partnerships with AOL, Real Networks and Mitsui, and oversaw the company’s activities in China. Prior to Feedster, Michels was president of Colt HR, a leading provider of outsourced benefits administration software and services to the mid market. David Recordon

David Recordon is Open Platforms Tech Lead for Six Apart, the largest independent blogging company in the world. Recordon’s history with open source software and open standards stretches back to the beginning of his career, when as a sophomore in high school he volunteered his time to lead an open source message board project with over forty members worldwide. This interest led to his co-founding of a message board hosting provider that still services tens of thousands of users around the world, and that he has since sold. Recordon was recently recognized by Google and O’Reilly as the recipient of a 2007 Open Source Award for his efforts with OpenID and is the youngest recipient in the history of the award.

Sachin Rekhi

Keith Schacht is the founder of Chicago-based 42 Friends LLC, the company behind leading Facebook applications such as Growing Gifts and Hatching Eggs.

Prior to 42 Friends, Schacht co-founded and sold two technology companies. In 2005, BusinessWeek named him one of the top 20 entrepreneurs under 25.
