Ben was also a finalist for Australia’s SmartCompany Idol 2007 and was said to be the embodiment of a key entrepreneurial attribute – the young go getter. Ben’s expertise in wireless has been recognized by industry leaders, many of whom have invited Ben to speak and share his insight at conferences, including Mobile Internet World, Mobile Web 2.0, Mobile Web USA.

Greg Cypes is the Tech Lead and Evangelist for Open AIM. He has developed and designed the core instant messaging software for AIM, ICQ and AOL including SMS, location services, audio, video and peer-2-peer technology in AIM. In his nine plus years working on AIM, he has enjoyed his role in transforming AOL’s client software from a self-contained entity to one of the most robust and powerful open messaging and peer-2-peer networks in the world. In his free time, Greg has developed and contributed dozens of extensions to the Open AIM community and other social networks.

Craig Dalton

Hook Mobile

Craig has 15 years experience in sales and marketing management as well as extensive experience building profitable mobile business strategies. As Hook Mobile’s Vice President of Business Development, he is responsible for establishing strategic relationships with social media and Web 2.0 companies wishing to develop new revenue streams utilizing the company’s MMS delivery platform and carrier billing relationships. Prior to Hook Mobile, Craig managed business development for global mobile entertainment publisher, I-play. His responsibilities included negotiating operator agreements, developing a Direct to Consumer strategy and creating a mobile video business unit. Earlier, Craig managed business development for interactive television and mobile pioneer, Proteus, having completed the first TV to SMS campaign in the US with Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 that established the TV to SMS market in the U.S. Craig holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Irvine and a BSBA in Business Administration from The American University.

Chris Butler

Dash Navigation

Chris Butler recently joined the Dash Navigation team as the company’s content platform evangelist. His responsibilities include the oversight of Dash’s open platform initiative and encouraging the creation of new location-based services both inside and outside of Dash. Previously, he worked for Microsoft at the company’s Silicon Valley Campus for over seven and a half years. During his tenure he worked on projects including Calendar, Hotmail, Toolbar, Desktop Search, the Sidebar gadget platform and finally Windows Live Gallery, the one-stop-shop that lets consumers personalize their Windows and Windows Live experiences.
