A new generation of gadgets is emerging that can wirelessly communicate, sense their environment and affect the physical world around them. Learn to use open source software and hardware to create everything from gesture-based interfaces to robot swarms to a rainforest monitoring system that may just save the world.
Despite being busy managing a range of projects in Sun Labs, Roger just can’t stop programming these cool little Sun SPOT devices. In the past Roger has worked in research labs and start-up companies ranging from artificial intelligence for space station to digital music production and digital photography.
Roving the world looking for opportunity to apply electronics to otherwise simple tasks, Arshan spends too much of his time at Sun Labs working with systems that attempt to eliminate any single points of failure. He’s worked on projects ranging from massively parallel hardware simulation engines to interactive display walls, and of course Sun SPOTs.
