Location: Marina Ballroom D

Today a user can earn points playing Spectrobes on their game console, then use them to purchase digital goods on Disney.com, all while communicating with friends immersed in the Pirates MMOG or on their mobile devices. These combined experiences represent an application that is an evolution from simple RIAs into a full-blown Rich Internet Experience (RIE) that spans applications, brands and platforms. In this talk, we’ll walk you through the growing connected digital universe that is Disney Online and touch on the mixture of creative and technical work required to build these experiences (a heavily multidisciplinary approach). We will also talk about the tools needed to develop these experiences and how we’d like to see the Web application stack evolve.
